NWTT Congratulates Nisga'a

The Nisga'a Lisims Government has completed its election process for another term. The Northwest Tribal Treaty Nations congratulates all of the leaders who have let their name stand in effort to assist with continuing Nisga'a Nation development.

In November, Dr. Joseph Gosnell concluded his final term as President saying it is time for others to carry the torch. The NWTT conveyed formal congratulations with a statement:

“Your dedication to the Nisga’a people and perseverance through many years of hard work on behalf of your Nation has been a cornerstone for community development that is recognized and applauded throughout the Aboriginal community.”

We have also congratulated Mr. Nelson Leeson who was elected as the new President of the Nisga'a Lisims Government. In welcoming Nelson in his new capacity, the NWTT stated:

“We know that the growth and success of our communities is largely dependent on having strong and capable leaders such as yourself. We recognize the contributions you have made in helping the Northwest Tribal Treaty Nations build and maintain a position that supports the progress of all who reside within this Northern region.”
